The Greeks win hands down.
There is also the best ice cream shop i have ever had the pleasure to visit at Kalamata town high street, it is just down the street from the commercial dock, they have a choice of toppings lined up, you pick what you want and the ice cream cornet is dipped into it!, 2 euro for a large ice cream, we shall return in May, sheer heavenVyv, Calamari is another one the Greeks do so well! Small Tavern just outside Kalamata marina called Nikis..
Have you tried the chips from the fish and chip shop in Aldborough suffolkVic, we lived in France for ten years, Italy for over a year or so, wintered in Barcelona for three years now live there, I've eaten chips and mussels many many times in Brussels, from Tokyo to Texas IMHO Greek chips are the finest, as I say IMHO.
We have cruised half the year for the past 10 in Greece and eat calamari on average once a week. The Spanish meal sticks out in the mind not only because it was perfectly cooked but because it came as a meal, with peas, onions and mushrooms. Most unusual in Greece, where the fish on its own is the standard offering.Vyv, Calamari is another one the Greeks do so well! Small Tavern just outside Kalamata marina called Nikis..
