Has anyone been to Bembridge recently and is the Baywatch open? I have heard they have not opened the restaurant but just doing limited takeaway like last year.

On another tack any opinions on Restaurant 33 up on the green.

Baywatch were just doing hatch service a couple of weeks ago. BHYC were doing a very limited menu. The onsite cafe are open and you can use one of the marquees to eat . Bar also open.

Last time I was on island Baywatch was just hatch. Other places to look out for are the old houseboat for lunch serving crab etc just across the harbour or for dinner try Ganders up the hill in StHelens. I haven’t tried restaurant 33 but can you get a table as many places are booked out. If looking around for reviews Cat and Matt are local restaurant critics who post reviews etc on island eateries.

I see from reviews that portions at restaurant 33 are small?

You could try the 'Best Dressed Crab' but you'd have to like seafood.

What about The Vine? Decent grub in big portions. No outside seating , unless you count the back yard where all the air-con outlets are, and a couple of chairs/tables on the pavement, but nice and spacious inside.
