Now you'd think that the BBC would find out whether Milford was actually in Dorset or not before they published it wouldn't you ? Due diligence and all that.
Obviously attacked and sunk by seahorses!
This is the problem if a boat is vandalised and set adrift / sunk; the Coastguard have no option but to think there may have been crew onboard...
Strange as all bar 3 or 4 were lifted out 2 weeks ago and are in Clontarf Yacht Club grounds. You should go to specks savers.BBC News - Yacht found on sea bed in Dorset
Thats nothing! 50 bilge keelers were reportedly found on the seabed near Dublin ... at low tide this morning.
There could have been, albeit thieves - they only know the owners weren't on board.
The River Warden had a heart problem recently, so no-one policing the river at Keyhaven. The assistant RW, was away for a month, but told me yesterday, that there had been a rash of thefts from boats on the moorings - fuel, particularly petrol being taken. Maybe this boat loss was something to do with that.
I'm a Keyhaven mooringee and was unaware of the loss. However, I wonder if rather than vandalism it was the result of the big blow we had a month or so back. It wouldn't be the first time that a boat had come adrift and wandered out of the river.....
I guess the truth will out some day.
