I too am on occasion appalled at the way First Mate and I are percieved at shows. One Scandanavian companies rep was very offhand with us, barely giving an answer to what I considered pertinent questions.
Amazing how his demeanor changed when First Mate compared a couple of features to our current vessel.
Now able to identify what we were sailing we were suddenly treated as a prospect instead of a pair of dreamers.
I can honestly say that when in business a potential customer in our shop was treated with more respect - even if they only aspired to a used Honda 50!
