I’ve watched all his videos and they are very good. The boat seems to have been well prepared and equipped. Martin had a very good way about him and he handled it all very well. Certainly shows that the boat was well capable of the trip.

Previously watched his outbound trip and enjoyed it. Hadn't seen that he had added the return, so that will be tonight's viewing. Thanks!

TBH with the rubbish on TV these days I often find myself watching Youtube sailing videos in the evenings. Some are really good. Quite a few seem to get the balance wrong eg either too much detail and commentary or not enough. That's clearly a hard balance to strike, or maybe it's just me. Patrick Laine seems to get it about right

I doubt that many people in even the bluest of blue water cruisers make a west to east crossing of the North Atlantic in November.

He didn't - he made it in May / June. But it was a plucky passage for a pretty standard (relatively) small production cruiser. Hat's off to him, he looked like he enjoyed it
