Maybe an intriguing heading but a very prosaic question. I seem to recall in one of those new kit columns in a yachting mag someone offering to make up made to measure sailing bags from sail material off cuts. Am I dreaming - what dull dreams - or can someone point me in the right direction.

Many sailmakers do them. It gives them a) something to do with offcuts and b) something to do when the order book is a bit slack. I used to have a great little wash bag from Banks, in some sort of laminate, but it went mouldy, just like the laminate sails of that era!
