Has anyone had experience with both B&G Triton2 displays and Raymarine i70s displays?

I'm at a point where I'm starting to refresh some electronics, and although I have all previous generation raymarine kit currently, several people have told me to consider switching to B&G.
I'm starting with putting a couple of new multifunction instruments in place of old autohelm things, and have found very little information online that directly compares the two offerings mentioned. Boat's a 33ft sailing boat.

Would love to hear any views from people with first hand experience of how they compare in terms of:

- features (e.g. the wind rose display on the triton2 looks far more comprehensive than the Raymarine wind screen)
- clarity of the screen - how clear the displays are when viewing from a distance, do they have comparable night modes etc.?
- performance (responsiveness, speed of the processor etc.)
- reliability? are either of them more prone to failures?
- longevity - are they both at similar points in their lifecycle? what do we think is going to replace them in both ranges and how soon?

As much as you can look at the product websites and compare the features on paper, it doesn't quite beat real experience of using them and I'm quite tempted to just stick one of each on and run with them for a season for a direct comparison...

I never really got used to wind on a digital display so have the Raymarine i60 analogue wind (a 360 and a close hauled) in between a Raymarine i60 and B&G Triton.

I guess I couldn't decide between the two outer displays either.

I do like the visual depth display on the Triton but apart from that, although they are previous iterations to what you are considering, there wasn't really much difference.

All four...

At night. (Sorry the outer two were not in night mode)...

And if you want to compare views of the wind on all four, 55 knots from the aft quarter..

I'm not sure if this helps either...

But zooming in, you can see that we rely on the analogue displays for wind and just display other information e.g. GPS / VMG /COG on the Raymarine and SOG / STW on the B&G.

I swapped out my i70 display last year for the triton2, one reason for this was I found the i70 very difficult to use at night, the button lamps extremely dim, I also changed autopilot P70 at the same time as I swapped to B&G, the triton2 display is brilliant, clear bright and loads info, like the wind screens especially

Another vote for the Triton2, they are clear, bright and visible in direct sunlight - highly recommended. Some clever presentation of data for Wind and Tide screens.
