AVIVA breaks record....

Fleet sizes is one thing. But the faster speed of multis demands longer courses, so the oppertunity to open up big splits across the course is greater, so any shift has a greater effect. Plus small % speed adantages result in large winning margins.

Well, the application of fully batterned mains and Lazyjacks on yachts was certainly driven by shorthanded racing, even if that's not where the original invention came from.
A similar thing could be said about the development of practical affordable roller furling and the explosion of shorthanded racing in the 60s and 70s.

Well done Dee and the ladies (is it PC to say ladies?)

I was planning to take six months when I do it.

Wasn't she skippering a big cruising cat in a race series in France a couple of weeks ago?

Th ladies cricket team won the 20-20 series, too. To add to the 50-50 series, the test match and the ashes.

A good weekend for the ladies. Shame the national mens football and cricket teams are so crap.
