my local Safeway (which you pass on your way to the Solent) has 40p off petrol when you spend £150 in store. This works out at a very reasonable 32.9p per litre.

we use this offer a lot, has been running 6 months though the 40p is new, top discount used to be 25p.

The small print says one car only. We did try to fill up both cars by parking either side of same pump and filling all in one dose, it cam to £100 on the pump. The attendant got all arsey and gave us half at 40p off the rest at full price.

If you have a trailer boat I suggest you fill your car elsewhere, then go to safeways, park at the back, and fill up for about £75, then say it all went in the car, tricky for them to check after the fact.
