There is advisory to avoid areas which was put out last month, if in that area and orcas come for a play , then just hard cheese imho
Then nothing to worry about thenThe latest attack was nowhere near that area, it was nearly 300 miles South.

Didn't think the different pods interacted much, do they?Big question for me is whether it's the same orcas as caused the previous number of events or is the behaviour spreading to other groups and therefore may become "the norm" in future for this coast.
t doesn't drive people out of swimming pools so why do you think that orcas would be bothered ?One could also try peeing in the water
As a life guard n my youth , nothing cleared a pool faster than a floating could always be an optiont doesn't drive people out of swimming pools so why do you think that orcas would be bothered ?
Umm, My rudder is made of galvanised steel, so a lot less edible! We have just had a diver inspect the damage and there are several bite marks on both sides of the hull and the keel. We couldn't change course as the rudder was smashed and we lost steerage.
I absolutely love these creatures and they are normally so peaceful. This one was angry though, or at the very least playing a bit too rough!

If you mean the one off Finistere, that is a TSSI noticed that the Vendée Globe race has an exclusion zone off the NW coast of Spain, I wondered why, obviously for this very reason.
Great article thanks for that, I love the quote from one of the sailors having been told it was probably play, or rambunctious young teenagers, according to 2 scientists that have study this pod for many yearsInteresting article on the Beeb, with some people who know what they are talking about!
Have rogue orcas really been attacking boats in the Atlantic?
I don't think that it is at all helpful to call orcas "killer whales" - they aren't whales they are dolphins.Great article thanks for that, I love the quote from one of the sailors having been told it was probably play, or rambunctious young teenagers, according to 2 scientists that have study this pod for many years
And he says” I don,t think so.”
5ays all you need to know about human nature
No your right a name that was derived by their ability to hunt their prey and the intelligence showing in doing it .I don't think that it is at all helpful to call orcas "killer whales" - they aren't whales they are dolphins.
What citation would you require and for what informationoh dear, another wild statement without a citation.
Cherod is on the Moon. It must be true because I wrote it.
I wonder if you all eat meat, bet you never been to a slaughter house, as long as we do not see the gore and it's all nicely packaged, don't think the orca has an aldi near by maybe a Tesco vegan section just north of patagonia
oh dear, another wild statement without a citation.
"There was a study / experiment in a large private estate / park in india a few years back where the owner removed all the tigers , all the other bread of animals flourished " cherod.

Or is those that have studied these particular pods for many years are wrong and this forum is right.
Silly me ofc it is
No matter how many citations I can provide you will never be satisfied , but continue to argue you point with the robust defence of , I know nothing about orcas but I will chastise those that even want to have a reasonable discussion about them
Oh you do love me ,On an academic basis, or just because you are a marine equivalent to a bunny hugger. "chastise" is the wrong word. Try a synonym.
On an academic basis if chastise is wrong how can a synonym be right ? but try "rebuke".On an academic basis, or just because you are a marine equivalent to a bunny hugger. "chastise" is the wrong word. Try a synonym.
