I have a mooring at last, ( in very short supply in Minehead in fact years waiting list). So now I might actually get out on the water

How much access do you get at Minehead then? We've been thinking of coming over for a visit

Not a good place for visiting boats - very exposed, minimal facilities.

We weren't intending to stop long, just wanted to tick it off really. A quick pint would be adequate. I recall the reason we looked at it was a friend was going to Butlins and was looking for an excuse to escape. But that was last year and we had gone to Swansea instead.

We have many visitors come in but as BH says not many facilities just an old fashioned harbour with a pub on hand for a quick visit you can moor alongside the wall but does have a visitors mooring (if you can get on it that is ).
