If the marketing is that bad, and they still exist - then the product must be bloody good!

That is as maybe, but image the potential business they are missing since they have a product so great their website can be so poor /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I am pretty sure the waiting list is quite long. I do not think people are put off by web sites as much as you may think, buyers of Seawards, Aquastars, etc know what they want and and rely on the reputation of the builder and seeing other examples of the marque. The boats are quite bespoke and a buyer would have a close dialogue with the builder.
A nice web site is desirable but not essential for all boats that are around. IMHO
ok, yes I agree with you. But since the basic structure is there, it seems a waste to have links that ultimately go no-where.
Secondly, it is not the people who have ordered today that the company have to worry about, it is the people who will order tomorrow (ok, next year/10 years) - no company should rest on their laurels - PO are proof enough of that
Not hard to agree that the site sucks. I've visited it a couple of times in the past and was pretty shocked each time.
What about the other end of the spectrum? What do you think is the best mobo builder website?
Out of Fairprincelineseeker, Sunseeker is pretty dynamic and informative, but all are pretty good. Pearl is quite good too. I like that Sea Ray (and a bunch of other US makers, though Sea Ray being the best site) allow you to price and configure the boat online.
Always liked the Chris-Craft site in the states. Classically styled and easy to navigate.
The Searay site is just the same as all the other US Brunswick brands - they all follow the same format and are pretty good. A lot of the Italian brands have inpressive looking sites with loads of flash artwork and animation, but they are bandwidth intensive and can be frustrating.
The Westline Sweden site is pretty bad as well (before anyone points it out), there is data there but my God you have to work to get it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Yup, agree with that. AquaStar vying for Worst Boatbuilders Website ever along with Broom . Maybe it's reverse marketing psychology designed to put off the wrong sort of buyers but I think it shows a certain kind of arrogance that they can't be arsed to have a decent website
We had an aquastar 33 for many years, aft cockpit with large saloon/smaller aft deck and 4 bunk berths up forward and a single sabre 212. An amazing sea-boat, rolls a bit like a pig but can take ANY weather you throw at it. My da has been around Land's End in a force 11 and the boat was perfect. 60ft waves? no problem... built like a tank, not one creak out of the hull or fittings. Was bought with only a small saloon and large aft cockpit. Geoff Wilson customised the boat into a great family cruiser and all work done at Aquastar Guernsey. I can't speak highly enough of the company and the boats.
the Chris Craft site is indeed quire nice, but not informatve enough. I think layout plans are, very simply, necessary. What's where?
Love the larger Corsairs, but their price to size has an unusually large jump from the 28 upwards.
The 28 as a toy? Was thinking about it, no mention or diagram of it on the website, but it has the toilet under the V.
The principals of the company are successful and have justifiably high hopes. I think they'll go from strength to strenth. Doesn't stop me thinking that they are being less than transparent on their site though.
Hi there,
We have a long wheel house 33. Fly bridge. Twin 180 ford sabre.
We have had it eleven years and are very pleased with it.
we may keep it.
some say,
