AQ115 = B20

Hi All,

I need to get a new sump Gasket for my AQ115.

As I'll need to go into my non-English speaking garage I want to make sure when I say I would like a gasket for a Volvo B20 engine it's going to make some sense to him?

I'm not overly sure I can still pick up these Gaskets, I'm expecting I'm going to have to cut my own, but I'm living in hope.

Anything else to bear in mind?

Tell em you need a gasket for a volvo 144 car, that way you might get one or get one sent form over here.

Just read your bit about essex marine, surely you didnt pay em.!!!!

As for paying them/him...I got taken to the cleaners big style.
At first I thought the guy was okay, it's only since looking at things more closely that I realise that his work left more than a lot to be desired. I wasn't expecting the QE2 for the price I paid but I wasn't expecting the possibility of an explosion with escaping fuel and poorly fitting fuel tank.
Unfortunately at the time I was dealing with the loss of my father, spending two years studying for a major professional qualification and living on the other side of Europe to where the boat was, so I was a little stressed to say the least and not really thinking correctly.

As I now have the boat over here and I'm now working on her I'm starting to see the full extent of the disaster.

I'm putting it down to a life experience...but that doesn't mean I'm not going to warn others out there.

At least by the time I'm finished I'll know that everything is pucker and have half a chance of fault finding should something happen whilst at sea.
