They were trying to sell it as a military boat, not sure what success compared to the buzzi boats which are much more established.

Did read there was a new one with twin FTP 500hps that followed the venture cup boats across the channel. Amazing bits of kit and would love a go in one! Sad to see them go to the wall

Sad to see them go.
Where they not originally boasting of 100mph boat at around 1 million.
They never achieved the speed and believe suffered from quite a few engine failures along the way.

Yea, it has been chained up for a while now with a big sign from HMRC saying : do not attempt to move this boat...
They were forever in and out of the water with people working on them- some fierce looking props !.

I heard that they are trying to secure new funding and will cancel the auction if it comes through, and that employees are standing by despite not being paid for a while

I can't see the moulds in the auction catalogue, just the moulds for the scale models

LOL, ever heard of Statement boats?
The XSR48 is a family cruiser in comparison, and in spite of that their St.Petersburg factory is a sort of mess, compared to what can be seen in those auction pics...!
