I really want to make a proper job of antifouling this winter and first I want to remove many years of pitted old paint from a grp hull. I'm thinking that slurry blasting might be the best way of doing this, although someone with the right sanding equipment might be able to do it.

Does anyone know, or better still can recommend, someone who can do this? The boat is at Woolverstone.

Many thanks.

I used http://www.arccompany.co.uk/ a few years ago, pleased with the results and the price.
They had a unit based this way, near Stansted I think, so travelling costs not too bad.

Yes went well for us too when they did our J80 and costs were reasonable.

I had Fox's take care of the 18 years of paint on our X 362 and was very pleased with the finish. Although the total bill for everything I had done was eye watering the paint removal part was very reasonable.
