I'm on P55
Arrived Cherbourg 23:30 UK time last night. 65nM 14 hr crossing from Studland almost to the minute. Wind mainly WSW F4 but gusted to a high F5 maybe 6 near French coast. No rain until I was tying up.
I checked today, and my last visit was in 2017! I've booked in for 7 nights - pay for 5 and get 2 free, + 20% discount for CA membership, so bottom line €132 for the week (they have me on record as 9.5mtrs).

We were once boarded by the French customs just outside Cherbourg in the middle of the night. By the time the rubber men had finished with us it was way past midnight, so when we went to pay we were able to truthfully say that we had arrived that morning.

Not quite the same thing but Cherbourg is the only place where I have paid for the night and left at 23.30h.

If there is a concert park next door, it's like trying to sleep under the main stage at Glastonbury. ☢️

A few weeks ago we arrived in St Vaast on a Monday afternoon stayed two nights and left very early on Wednesday morning. Paid the evening before we left, told them when we were leaving, and they only charged me for one night, or was it one day.
