Just been trying to book a ticket for the "ferry" to get to the IOW.

Choices, choices, choices,
take the car - save parking at port, and Taxi fare on IOW but goto go by the slow boat and expensive
passenger only- park at port, taxi on IOW but much faster

then do I go Porthmouth-Fishbourne with Wrightlink
or Soton-Cowes with Red funnel

Ah well I decided - Red Funnel - fast cat
- first time I'll have done over 30 knts in the solent (eh Col !!! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif)

As you follow thw signs to the ferry terminal, go past it to the next roundabout. Turn left there an theres a small pay & display that costs 4 quid for the whole day. I had a site meeting over there last year in Newport on the new idust est at Aerolaminates. The cab fair was about 8 quid from the terminal to town.

Down side is you don't feel much on the redjet

What's this, the '30 knot club'? Sort of like the mile high club, interesting????????

I always give the passengers a wave as I overtake. Not as friendly as the Lymington/Yarmouth passengers though
