I own a nic, 33'9" LOA, called Forerunner II, long keel. Built in 1967. Supposedly moulded from a Nic 36 mould. She has a transom hung rudder, no aft overhang. Apparently optimised for the RORC rule of the day she has a Petter 16 HP diesel which intrudes into the saloon, this appears to have been decided very late in the build judging by the different style of joinery in this area. She also has a heavily cambered deck and low coachroof. I would love to know more about my boat, I did contact Nicholsons who put me touch with an ex-employee who was helpful in a general sort of way but no specifics. She was fitted out by John Perry in Southampton, I did speak to him a couple of years ago but only get an answering machine now. Would especially like a set of original drawings, I don't even know her displacement. She's a fantastic boat to sail, would'nt change her for anything, unless she's got a big sister!
