Any advice for cruising Ibiza in a 10.5m boat?

I've booked a berth in Ibiza for 3 days in June. Obviously there's not a large number of marinas to choose from so we're in San Antonio (fortunately we're still youngish and don't mind it too much). Anyhow, it's only £45 a night so no big deal and we can always enjoy the sunsets.

Anyhow, I was hoping to book a buoy at Formentera for a €30 Burger Beach Club lunch however they all seem to be booked. Have I missed the boat? We probably won't have tender so will need a pick up service.

€30 Burger Beach Club lunch on Formentera? That’s a new one to us - where is this?
If you’re looking for a tender service for lunch at a restaurant with not too unreasonable prices you could try Tiburon or Tanga.

The 2 areas of buoys are not close enough to the restaurants to be covered by the rib service, you’ll need to anchor close to the restaurant, +1 for Tiburon, good food, vibe and fairly priced.
If you are cruising down from SA i’d take a buoy and overnight, it’s a 45 mile round trip.

Thanks chaps.

I don't a 45 mile round trip as it will give us the opportunity to se some of the island.

Are Tiburon or Tanga impacted much by the Posidonia restrictions? Will I need to get there early to get a good spot to anchor or will it still be quiet in June?

there's loads of space at Tiburon, it's worth checking the rib service is running in June. As with all spots on playa de Illetes you will suffer with the ferry wash. Tanga is on the east side of the Island, I've not tried there.
If you don't overnight I'd still be tempted to book a bouy in Espalmador even if you spend a few hours there - it's so idyllic and you swim ashore - you can arrive at 11:00 but if there's space I'm sure they will let you sneak on earlier.

Thanks. Sadly the buoys at Espalmador seem to be fully booked already.

If you can’t get a bouy and want to stay overnight on Formentera, one of our favourite spots is Cala Sahona. It’s a beautiful Cala, very safe, no posidonia problem and the hotel on the beach has a dinghy service for its restaurant

Pete, I'm pretty sure they won't be booked yet. All areas are fully booked so I think there is a current quirk on the system. I think it may be that booking opens on June 1st when the buoys become operational.

If you are looking for somewhere closer to SA, have a look at Tarida

Several restaurants - the posh one is the Cotton Club but there are several to choose from.

Further south there is Cala d'Hort with a view over Vedra.
IMO, the restaurant in Cala d'Hort is the best on the island.

Depending on traffic and the size of your cruise ship, you dock in the eastern part of the harbor near Carrer de Botafoch about 1.5 km from the city center or closer to the old city and its sights at Avinguda de les Andanes. From the harbor you have a beautiful view of the old upper town, called Dalt Vila. I wanted to go to a cruise but had lots a problems with my boat. Here you can read my story https://princess55fly.blogspot.com/p/home.html Have a good time!

I thought I’d read this post , unbelievable service from Princess Yachts, I’d heard all the rumours around the UK dealer and first hand from a buyer who had his delivered unfit to Portugal .
As they say the older ones are the best.

Mike, can you recall if they have a pickup service? We don't have any way of storing an inflated tender at the moment.

An inflatable kayak from decathlon works well as a tender on a small boat, I keep mine deflated under the table in the cabin, it only takes 10 mins with a hand pump to inflate.

Quick update on marina pricing (partner is out there) for our 10.5m boat....

Ibiza Club Nautico - €195
Santa Eulalia - €121

Both booked on the day.

Ibiza Town was always stupidly expensive in August

Given my Ibiza Town mooring cost E640 by the time tax electric etc had been added for a 17.9m boat the price is quite mild! Maybe next time I can ask for 2 x 10m berths and then figure out how to park it!
