antifouling

Used to have a Dufour 40ccand could get two coats on with 7.5 litres antifoul...
may be worth looking at Premier a/foul at about £40/2.5l . check their website for details. I am currently using it and so far it seems excellent, loads of copper sulphate in it. Make sure you mix it well though. ( no connection but satisfied customer )

I think you'll find it's got copper oxide in it, not sulphate! As for having "loads", a good indicator of antifouling content is specific gravity. International Micron's SG is over 1.9 whereas Premier's is only 1.4 so I'd expect it to work less well.

Sounds like an awfull lot. I use 6ltrs per coat on a Sun Odyssey 45 which is one good coat and enough to double coat the leading edges and leave a smear in the can for the yard to touch in the pad marks. This is Hempel Ocean Performer applied by roller and is what the Hempel calculator comes up with.

wow that's alot ! My boat is 40 foot with a deep keel and i buy every year 1 x 5 litre can of micron extra. i find it goes on too thick so i water it down so to speak with antifouling thinners. maybe 0.5 / 1 litres worth it gives me 2 thin coats for 6 litres + 3 coats on leading and trailing edges. A good tip is to us a thin roller 100mm. it doesnt soak too much anti fouling up and it seems to go further. although it takes longer to paint.
done this for the last 10 years only diffference is i change colour from blue to black every year so i can check build up of paint.

Rustler 44, which with a semi long keel has a bit more underneath than you.

One good coat all over and then another around the waterline and leading edges. Less than 8 litres.
