Hi, I have my boat out of the water at the moment and I am going need to anti foul it as it has not been done for years. It is a small boat 23 foot GRP it is moored on the canal all the time . Can you please offer some advice on the best way to proceed with breaking the bank and the best antifoul paint to use .Thankyou in advance.Sprinter

When in France I watched someone painting their hull with "Pitch" then plonked it back in the canal. Must be the cheapest antifouling available.

There was a good article in the Feb 2012 MBM that described a comparative test of various brands of antifoul. Your choice should depend on how fast you go, and whether you dry out.
Based on price and performance, I used International Cruiser Uno, a one-coat self-polishing.

Are you always in fresh water, if so then you need a antifoul designed for that?
