Anti corrosion spray

WD-40 ? Did a Diesel engine course with an ex-navy mechanic who would spray the engine from top to toe in WD-40

ACF 50 had better be good, it appears to be about five times the price of WD40! £13 for a wee can? Am I looking in the wrong place?
I suppose it's a lot cheaper than a new engine, or even a respray...

I buy ACF 50 in 950ml bottles which come with a hand spray. Much cheaper than aerosols and does the same job without wasting money on propellant.
I get through a fair amount as it goes onto my classic car and tools as well as the boat.

Thanks, that looks a better bet for using it on my saloon-mounted engine.
Just watched a video of someone doing a saltwate comparison test of no protection, WD40, and ACF-50. Prett convincing.

WD40 is horrible. It builds up a sticky layer which eventually collects dirt and then starts conducting electricity. It is intended as a water dispersant (WD).
