If it is close to a copper alloy propeller it is going to disappear pretty quickly. Are you sure you actually need it any way?

If it's disappearing, it shows it's doing it's job.

A rough guide is that the anode be sized so it lasts a season. That means it should end up as 50% of its size.

If it is being used more quickly, is it too small? Are there other anodes which are not doing their job? Are there other sufficient anodes?
