Angled U bolts

So if I do replace the lot, where can I get U-blots at various angles? Are they off the shelf or individually made?

They don't need to be angled as long as you have fully articulating joints between the u-bolt and the rigging screw.

I just found these Angled A bolts, they appear to have a greater breaking load than the equivalent U bolts. Can I use these, if the correct angle?

Hi, I have just used these to replace my shroud u bolts, they are very good quality, I went up a size from 8 mm to 10mm. They look much better than u bolts too.

I dont see why not, but I am not a rigger. I am using an angled A bolt rather than a U , but it doesnt cary as much load as the rigging.

It is still worth angling them inwards towards the base of the mast so that the force acting down the legs of the "U" (or "A") is as close to axial as possible. If they stick vertically upwards, there will be a side load as you tension the shroud trying to bend them inwards.

As far as I'm aware, you just buy the closest you can get and the rig will do the rest.
