I'm all in favour of respecting the culture and ways of the locality. In parts of the West Highlands and Islands, the Sabbath is still observed. I wouldn't want to do anything which might upset people.Contrast with France. Not only are all shops other than bars and restaurants closed, we are not allowed to create any noise, so grass cutting, use of compressor, grinding, hammering etc might lead to visits from the authorities.
