Would any forum members know what size of chain for the windless on a jeanneau 39 ,

If you look on the side of the gypsy you will probably see the size cast or stamped onto it.

Check the gypsy, it may well be marked up. If buying new chain it will pay you to take the gypsy to the supplier to make sure it fits.

Expect it will be 8 or 10mm - could be either and not necessarily the same as another similar model boat. A Jeannau dealer will be able to tell you what the OE size was and any options, butif you are doing something where the size and type is critical you need to know what is actually fitted to your boat.
