An Unusual Week?

Sat 25th
Took Brother/Wife/Nephew(3yo) /SWMBO from Gosport to E Cowes but no room at the inn - didn't want to raft up in W Cowes with a small either waking the neighbours or the neighbours waking us - so returned to Gosport and had fish and chips.

Sun 26th
Took same to Gun Wharf via Ferry - sat outside for lunch looking at the square riggers.

Mon 27th/ Tues 28th
Trimmed next doors hedge

Wed 29th
Boiler serviced then went and tidied boat

Thurs 30th
Took friends that had never been sailing, from Gosport to Chichester,
where it blew up to F7 on the way back, very wet and uncomfortable, also a tad tricky getting back on the berth with 25-30 knots between the pontoons.
Friends are still talking to us though.

Fri 31st
Light winds so went out with SWMBO and practised MOB and sailing up to bouys off Gillkicker - very relaxing. followed by a meal in The Great Wall watching the fireworks.

Sat 1st
Took neighours out, with small daughter (7yo) , to Osbourne bay for lunch, they'd never been sailing before...their small daughter even steered even though she couldn't see above the cabin.

Sun 2nd
Did some maintenece, then cleaned boat and home...

Anyone else have weeks like this?

I had a similar week except it involved getting up at 4am on thursday for the tide!!

Oh Shush!!

We have 30 odd bloody years of 5 weeks holiday a year to go, and mortgage, and we are (at some point) going to launch on those blummin expensive, money sucking miniature humans, plus the next mortgage, all the worry of buying the next few boats, more complicated electronic jiggery pokery with added chandlery inflation etc etc etc

By the time we have weeks like that, antifouling will probably be so enviromentally friendly that it will attract growth....

Not sure I can take anymore! *sniff*
