I heartily recommend Granary Yacht Harbour for slurry blasting your bottom. The Kipper is a big old girl with a full long keel - £400 plus lifting and a cracking good job it was. Simon has just had a large shed built to take boats up to 50' for this sort of work.

How about including a list of bits of kit that people are happy to lend out. For example, I have just borrowed a cutlass bearing puller from Rudolph Hart (who I did not previously know but answered my call here for help). When I gave it back today he said that he should let other people know that it was there to be borrowed.

Ok, here come the smartarrisses with their left-handed screwdrivers.........

Good thinking Roger, I can add this to the list, one extendable rivet thingy, did a nice job of my mast repair a few years back. Needs doing again now but that's another story
