aluminium window frames.

Hi i have a wooden boat ( finesse 24 ) with aluminium frames
which althought sound look dull they are 34 years old ! i do not want to remove them. Any ideas on refurbishing them or
possibly overpainting them.

If they are sound, take them to a local metal polisher to get the marks out, or buy 20 quids wqorth of polish and mops for a bench grinder. They will come up nicely.
Then, if you have money, take them to be anodised. If not flat them off with wet and dry, and spray them with polyurethane after primer. Should last another 30 years....
