Alternator for BMC 1.5

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get hold of a 50 amp alternator for a BMC 1.5. I need it to have the phase terminal on the back for the rev counter. I broke mine tightening a bolt up too tightly after changing the fan belt, yeah, I know...DOH!

Look in yellow pages for local Auto-electrical repair specialists, or the local Lucas/Bosch depots. The old alternator may be repairable, or they should be able to sell you a replacement.

I get all my bits for my BMC 1500 from Parkinsons in Boston, but I believe they are nation wide.
and very reasonable prices recon alternator/dynamo thingy £30(must take old one in as a swap)

Halfords or LSUK (aka Lucas) - both exchange - probably well under 50 quid. I paid £30 in a motor factors for a brand new one, old stock, four years ago.
