All I want is a full re rigg!

Im looking around for a rigger to do a full standing rigging re rigg, so story so far;
Local rigger in marina I used in the past is not a quality outfit and past experience with them has been poor so looked into another "offsite" but near local team. Was happy with them up untill the formal quote came in over £5.5k and theres room for that to easily go up depending on what they find.
Contacted Allspars in Plymouth twice for a quote and they couldnt be bothered to even call/email me back!
Contacted a recommended rigger a long way away who was very happy to travel and knows the brand of boat very well. He was even happy to travel to me but when I asked if this was ok to do with my marina manager, he made things almost impossible for me as he wanted me to use the onsite rigger!
So decided to sail boat down to said rigger but when I wanted to use a credit card to pay the deposit he said he would have to pass the credit card fee onto me which whilst its not big, does really vex me.
So what should I do? Anybody got any more recomendations for a good rigger Devon or Cornwall way?

Very unusual for Allspars not to get back to you. I have always found their service outstanding. Perhaps a call on Monday at 0905, just as they get the morning brew on, might be in order.

My last re-rig was by Andy and the Allspars team in Plymouth and they were excellent.

You may already have tried the 3 outfits that I know of in the Falmouth area; David Carne (Boathouse, Penryn), Mylor Rigging (at MYH) and A2 Rigging (in Falmouth Marina). I’ve always had really good service from Mel at A2.

I heard Allspars were supposed to be good but no contact whatsoever after 2 attempts makes me think not to bother trying any harder with them. I would have thought 2 emails both concerning a full 40 footer re rigg would have been worth their time, I guess I got that wrong

What address are you using? Do you have proof they received your email.

I am a loyal customer, but have always had a reply by email within 24 hours and almost instantly on the phone.

Agreed. Call and ask to speak to David Barden, he's a top guy, wholly recommended.

Never ever use a contact from on a website far too many things can go wrong. An email or phone call every time.

I dropped Andy an email at 20:16 on Thursday night (08/07) and had a reply at 07:26 on Friday (09/07) morning. Their service really is that good. I need a small job done before I head from Plymouth to Kirkwall at the end of the month.

Contact forms often don't work properly. Much better to email direct or phone them.

OK Im emailing them now, fingers crossed they answer tomorrow - I'll let you know if they do.
