Algarve sinking update

Today's paper says that the yacht sank in 25 m so that she isn´t a hazard to shipping but the 5m waves make looking for the container difficult. They don't give the man's name - only that he is 47 years old and the boat is "Larmar"

Do you believe everything you read in a newspaper ? Today the story had changed slightly.

Maybe it was the other way round? A UK yottie I chatted to last winter swore blind that one morning in the previous winter he woke up, still snugly tethered to his Portomao finger pontoon...but two miles out at sea.

56, and they say he is alright. The yacht sank and he is picked from a liferaft.

Well, they say a liferaft but I see a dinghy with an outboard. He is pretty close to shore, the sea is good and the dinghy is big with a powerful engine
