A word of praise for my Quark A026 receiver. It made life easier and safer going to and from the Azores this summer. Simple to set up, linked easily by wire to my Raymarine chartplotter and worked with the Fire tablet I set up to control the chartplotter from the navigation table. Quark A206 was so much cheaper than any other receiver and having AIS to help keep a look out was a revelation. My only reservation was that anyone with AIS should go the full hog and have a transceiver so that they are visible to others. I plan to upgrade for my next offshore passage (whatever that will be). Quark do a A042 that will connect to my chartplotter through NMEA 0183.
Has anyone used the A042?
