While the mast is down I am replacing the wiring. Any one any idea how to disconnect the cable from the antenna.

My VHF antenna had no connector - just a length of cable sealed into itself that disappeared into the mast. To make it de-mountable, I had to cut the cable and fit my own connectors. I guess you have to, too. It may be prudent to buy a new antenna before submitting to this additional chore!
 
Makers label rubbed off so can’t contact them?

90% of the time I believe anything can be taken apart even if it may not be designed to be so.

So cut cable and rejoin.
Buy a new one.
Use old one for something else.
Get the tools out and hack away.
