Aegina or Poros on a Friday?

Thanks for the responses - in the end took Grafozz and Bertrandriver's suggestion and went to Angistri. A good choice as frequent Flying Dolphin services to Pireas taking an hour and costing 15 euro. Tuesday quiet,Wednesday and Thursday flotillas,Friday many Athenian mobos.Should be ok any day if in early enough.Lovely spot and Sailors Taverna in Milos good value.

Trizonia ANY day of the week. Just spent a marvellous half hour in the company of the local Pappas, sharing his bread whilst he was waiting for the little ferry (€1) to the mainland. He had shown us around his church earlier. I would only enter Aegina if in the most dire distress and THEN I would hold on to my wallet.

Oh and the buses from Athens to Misolonghi or Patras run along the mainland coast road and stop right next to the ferry berth at Xhania, opposite Trizonia.

Hydra certainly not quiet on Saturday 3rd week in September and moored 3 out on north mole on Sunday.
