Best way is probably the old way. upload to Photobucket or similar (resizing to an acceptable size as you up load). Then copy and paste the "IMG code" straight into your post. (See Photobucket for details of using it.) Use the thumbnail facility if you want to display clickable thumbnails.

Limited space available but you can use the new "Attachments" method.

Click the attachments icon above the message entry box
attach.gif

or scroll down a bit and use the "Manage attachments" box below.

Browse your computer for the picture(s) you want to attach or type or paste a URL of an image on a website.

Upload then close the window.

Attachments appear as clickable thumbnails but not until you submit the post.

this has been asked so many times, including by me who has now forgotten how, that Ithink it would be a good idea if there was an idiot's guide in the FAQ section. How about it moderator??

The same one as a clickable thumbnail Click it! Then click the enlarged version!

and one as an attachment DSCF0604.jpg Click it, then again , then once more!

But thats not how attachments have worked out before. Interesting! More exploring to do.

This drove me mad as well - if you look in the FAQs it assumes that when you go to post a reply, there are loads of icons at the top of the box thingy - I couldn't find them. I did sort it out by going to the 'Website news and feedback' forum and looking at a thread entitled 'how do I insert a link'. It seems that when we swapped over the forum software - my (and I assume lots of others) settings were altered so that we did not get full access to all features. Hope that helps.

I agree...... but could they write it so as thickos like me could understand it?
The main problem with these guys is that they know it all and don't have a B****y clue as to how to teach others who struggle at these things.

However, got there in the end , see my first posing.... photo added.
It was the BB code thinghy that threw me for a while

ta VicS for your help.
