I will, from Monday 3 September be attending a course at Southampton College for one week.
does anybody know of any reasonably priced accommodation in the area, as I live in Bedfordshire and it will be too far to travel.
thank you in anticipation,Dave

Ring one of the yacht brokers in the area. They keep lists of accomodation for people taking trial sails. You may getm a frosty reception though if you aren't buying!

When we tested out a Hunter back in 93 Hunter Boats at Hamble Point gave us a list of places to stay which varied from "Mrs Scoggin's Guest House (no pets)" to the local 5 star. Hunter Boats are freindly and considering your name!!!

About 40 mins away from Southampton is the village of Hambledon.

in the village Mornington House 02392 632 704 do BB in I am told a very civilised manner so I am told.

a few lecturers from Southampton U plus insitute live in the village so it may not be too bad.

Why dont you try the obvious. The college who I am sure will have a list of suitable vetted accommodation in the locallity of the college or the local tourist information office. After all that is what they are there for and it helps keep them in a job.

Last time I worked in Southampton I rang the AA (or did I use their website?) and got booked into a very reasonably priced B&B at Bitterne. It was a bit basic but freindly landlady and close to the centre of town.

Cheers,
Rich.
