You're absolutely right. I get a queasy feeling about some of these "1st time posters" and so often it turns out to be justified.
I have asked before, (but the sages always say no point) why not require certain fields to be filled in on the profile when registering?
OK so you can lie, but it is a point of control at which some trollers may decide not to bother.
And how about a helpful hints page that new registrants have to pass through to warn them that they need to supply plenty of detail with questions. Maybe even pointing out that replies tend to be more helpful when it seems that the questions are well-considered.
Again a troll may pass over that without a second thought, but most of the questions that attract the flack are of the "oi mate, I've just bought a boat an I don know nuffink" variety.
Tricky I know, but I don't like being taken for a fool. (It's hard enough keeping the truth hidden as it is)
