Well, spend more time on the boat! We'll be there most of April...

Oh, I will! If only it would work for long enough for me to actually do that! bloody thing...
Still, I get to spend hours working on it, I guess that counts.
I'm now waiting for the latest, hideously expensive part to arrive, so can't do any mechanical work on it this weekend.
But, the polishing machine and discs have all turned up, so I can at least set about trying to make it look a bit shinier!

If you have to ask you cannot afford it!! chill out be happy.

I've never been able to afford it! Still, all good fun
Time I've finished, it's going to be a brand new boat. I keep saying it's like Triggers broom.

Chill, man! In order to spend time on it, it only needs to work to the extent that it doesn't sink - everything else is a bonus!

Sir, I bow to your maritime experience on this, I see now that I'd simply set the bar too high.
One thing the boat has always managed to do thus far (said whilst white knuckling an elderly wooden desk,) is float.
In that case, cost per Hour spent on the boat is just small change.
I feel suitable reassured, thank you :D

My strategy when SWMBO has a review of the credit card statements and starts ranting is simple. I remind her that I don't gamble, don't smoke, not interested in flash cars, and don't spend time in the pub. Bearing in mind I have to do something with my life the other option is a mistress, who would benefit from long holidays in the Mediterranean, interesting restaurants, cool clothes, and meeting interesting people. If she's happy with the mistress I'll sell the boat. Huff.
