Our group left Swanwick on Thursday bound for Poole where we had a little quiz so all got to know one another.

Fairline Southampton lent us a very nice Targa 43 for the trip.

Powerskipper was on hand to make sure I could find my way out of the Hamble!

And then we were off!

Arriving in Poole.

Followed by a nice meal at Da Vinci's on the quay in Poole.

And the wine was sponsored by Trevor Betts from Fairline Southampton - cheers Trev!

The next morning it was off to Weymouth and for some, it was an "interesting" passage. The sea was a bit lively off the heads!

Then it was Brixham were we spent 2 days. Weather watching meant we came back a day early, but everybody seemed to enjoy it and all have booked to come with us next year. It must have been the cream tea we did prior to the skipper briefing on Sunday.

Ah ha ! that is our previous 41 demo, the one that was on the front cover of MBY, really nice chap and wife that bought her, hope they are enjoying her, I remember on a trip to Guernsey must have been summer of 2006 she was pulling about 38 knts at one point. really fond memories of that 41 , she did a lot of sea trials and shows for us.

Thank's for the pic :-) nice to see her in her element.

Great shots, David.
Fantastic weekend was had by all. Team Mendez worked very hard to ensure all went well. I don't know who prayed to the weather god, but it certainly worked.
Boat crews had a ball.
Fantastic run back to the Hamble from Brixham on Monday.
Many thanks to the team and other boat crews for their company.

Fabulous brochure shots. Ever thought about a career in advertising? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Well done Trevor for arranging the support boat, You're gonna need a bigger one next year if you can book the weather! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Great post David and Mendez team, this what we do best ! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Great pictures David, shame I didn't get time to apply makeup but there you go.
Superb weekend, unbelievable weather, great company, what more could one ask for, and the run back from brixham was good, my TV is working, and the Alternator is OK as well, just the hot water to sort out, but who needs to wash anyway.

Many thanks to the Mendes team ( perhaps I should not say that everyone will want to go next year!!!)

Thanks Bill - no worries about next year, we will keep a limit on the number of boats so as to keep it social and fun so that we don't lose what we created this year. Those who came in 2009 will be given priority, and as pretty much to a boat it should be the same group plus a first come first served basis.

We are considering doing maybe another one later in the year and probably 2 next year based on boat size. But all is still in discussion stage at the moment.
