A trip to Rona

Angus,
A very enjoyable account, well done. Makes my trip to St Kilda seem a bit like a half pint of shandy:-)

It's a similar trip as getting to St Kilda. The distance is only a few miles more - not a significant amount, the starting point is equally as inconvenient to get to, weather the same and both have dubious anchoring and protection when you get there. The differences are there's a lot more to look at on St Kilda, and because of that, on a suitable day, you are unlikely to be alone. It's likely that a few boats will have made at, and of course there's a warden and the military too. But for sailing effort, there's nothing between much the two destinations.
