How to pack a Nasa Clipper or Target Wind Speed instrument for a mail order sale? Now this may seem to be so stupidly obvious but I can tell you that the box size fails to conform with any other delivery box we ever receive.
If the purchase is just the Wind Speed then bubble and brown paper will do it. If the customer wants a Wind Speed and.. then I end up cutting down GIANT boxes to fit. Apart from the time it takes the result looks rubbish.
When it comes to export however the pack weight and volume become a very significant issue.
Imagine then, if you can, the sublime extasy into which I have been placed by discovering a local shop takes deliveries of consumables in a box that's EXACTLY the size of a Nasa Wind Speed and two other instruments, is light in weight, and available in modest quantity free each week! Oh Joy!
...and you've all been spending the weekend afloat. Poor sad bastard that I am.
