Happy Christmas everybody! Up until now I have been an avid reader of your forum (and sometimes contributor when I needed to seek guidance on the odd point), but today SWMBO and I can reveal that we have now joined you as fully fledged boat owners!!

We have been searching since we finished our Suncoast 'Day Skipper' course in September (if we cause mayhem amongst you - blame them!), and we yesterday completed on a 1992 Sealine 350 Flybridge (Perle Noire) which is now berthed in Brighton Marina. There's a bit of work to be done on her so we won't be out and about too much before March - but if you see us give us a wave (and a wide berth for your own safety), and we'd love to meet any of you if we ever happen to moor nearby.

Whooppee! What a great Christmas.

I seem to recall that boat was with Dickies a while back and was moored just along from us. Previous owners downsized. We are on 19 at the moment with a Series 9. If you are staying in Brighton look forward to seeing you.

Hey, that makes two of us. Just paid deposit on a Beneteau 9.80 which is being delivered in March and will stay at Brighton, so we hope to see you in the Spring. Expect a lot of questions from some newby boaters in April folks.

Sorry for not responding earlier all - been on family Christmas duty. Hi Goochie and David J, hope we can meet up in Brighton Marina sometime - we're on 8 for the time being.

Thanks for the good wishes Clive and Phil, and yes Clive - your F36 did have something to do with our choice! The engines are KAD42's - is that bad?????!

I'm off to bed now - knackered. Roll on next Christmas.
