Curious :) As the conversation was in French, it might be they were hailing "NH 90", it's one of the French military helicopters based near Brest which is often mandated by Cross Corsen / Ushant for SAR missions. If you could hear the communication from both sides, helicopters talks are rather distinctive.
Simple numbers are often used also when Cross communicates with SNSM vessels, which are all numbered, 225 284 186 etc. "186 quelle est votre position" etc
During 2023, the yearly report states NH 90 was increasingly used as the Civil Protection helicopters (all called "Dragon xx", xx being the department number, ex Dragon 29 for Finistère, Dragon 56 for Morbihan, etc) were very often devoted to other non maritime missions. 2024 report not yet available.
