My plans to have toasty feet this winter have hit a snag. I can't find the heater outlet/inlet pipe on the perkins block. As posted recently I can see one connection at the rear top of the block, I was advised to look in the vicinity of the alternator but no can see anything. I dont expect to find an out let just a blanking plug. I cant see that it can be to well hidden as it has to be accessable. Could it be hidden be the Marine header tank.
Your help appreciated as always.

I am pretty sure that you won't find any outlet/inlet heater plugs. The reason being is that the heater pipes branched straight off the main water pipes, each pipe had a smaller rubber "Y" pipe comeing out of it.

I won't swear to god about this but i'm sure someone will either back me or disagree with me, it's been a long time since i played with engines.

Applying the same logic as last time and reading the post above I popped out and had a look under the bonnet of the Iveco, and that does seem to be the arrangement big black tube in,ditto out with T pieces from tube to heater matrix.
Sorry about the highly technical terms but I am not an engineer,in fact the simple act of me opening the bonnet will probably result in catastrophic failure, last time I checked the oil the brakes failed!

Hello Peter,

I had a Perkins 4.108 in our previous boat and have a photo of the location for the outlet/inlet connections that we used for the calorifier, but I don't seem to be able to include it in this post!

If you wish to send me a pm with an email address, I will gladly forward it to you.

David
