240v bulkhead light, want to use on 12v system - HELP!

Hello everybody!

I want to use a 240v bulkhead light on my boat, with a 12v bulb.

I saw a thread on here a while ago, where somebody know a supplier of 12v bulb adaptors to go into 240v bayonet fittings. But I cant find it anywhere!!! I've even tried Google, but unless I know what it's called, I've not much hope!

Can anyone please help me?

Change the bulbholder to an ES screw type & use a 12v inspection lamp full size bulb.

Bulbs from Halfords lampholder from B&Q.

You could get a 12vdc B22 compact fluorescent lamp to go in the fitting. Brighter and a power-saver.

Or has already been posted, change the lamp-holder for an E27 base 12vdc lamp.
