Anyone been accepted for this yet? We're still without a boat so can't apply.

Presumably there's some special powers granted to the river police for the day to prevent gatecrashers?

Having a gawp at the entry form I'm guessing unless you own a Dunkirk style Little Ship formerly owned by Noel Coward, or have paperwork to prove Princess Anne was born on your bathing platform, there'll be little hope of success.

Ahem, Fraid not nearly enough, you have to at least put on the form that you were standing next to H Nelson in 1805 like wot I was.

Don't think any selections have been made yet, but whilst I think that you'll have a very nice time in St Kats, the organiser's response to the practice included:-

7.1 The convoy will proceed down river to a designated overnight mooring likely to be the Royals.
7.2 Any boat that has a home port below this will be able to proceed down river , but all others without exception WILL HAVE TO MOOR OVERNIGHT IN THE DOCK.

I'd hold on to the bookings though, you might be able to sublet

Not sure how many boats actually took part in the "practice" but it took two lock loads at West India to get all those who did not turn to go back up the Thames into the lock basin.
Knowing the tidal window of St Kats and the speed of lock operation, wonder if its going to actually possible to get in and out of there on the day ?
Wiil any lock operation be allowed at all on the day of the event. ?

Thanks for that info. When the project was first mooted a while ago ,there was a lot of negative comment as it if anybody would be interested, think the sheer number of applicants has settled the matter !
