1977 Dockrell 27/CT

there is one for sale here in US, any comments good or bad about this boat and offshore ability?

The dockerell 27 is the same as the Hurley 27.This link is for the hurley Owners Association .

http://www.hurleyownersassociation.co.uk/ I am sure you will get plenty of info.generally their reputation is strong seaworthy but not fast.

Actually, although very similar, the Dockerell is not quite identical to the Hurley. It has shallower draft due to a redesigned keel, the lower edge of which is flaired out almost to a wing, concentrating weight lower down, and the boat is completed to a much higher standard of finish than the Hurley.
