I'm looking for a 1 - 2 season scratcher which MUST be cotton/poly cotton lined for comfort.

Ideally I'd like to order by www. Any recommendations or contacts?

Personally prefer to use a proper duvet on our double bed with normal cotton fitted bottom sheet and a cotton cover on the duvet.

Try any branch of Millets or www.cotwold-outdoor.com or my personal favorite www.snowdonranger.co.uk does lots of end of line, old stock or where the packerging has been open/damaged so cant be sold as new and is the cheapest shop Ive found yet (new windproof fleece £45 instead £120). Dont know where you are based but this one is up in Bets y coed in Snowdonia which might be a bit far away but very helpful and informative staff.
For a 1-2 season bag you shouldnt have to pay more than £40 tops.
Might be worth buying a cotton liner for the bag and have a polyester/synfectic filling rarther than feather but its all down to personal prefrence.
Hope this helps

I think i would start with Argos as the delivery is free, you can order on line and generally the prices are the same or cheaper than elsewhere. I've always had mine from them, though i admit we've gone over to a quilt and sheet now with a furry underblanket to take the edges off the joins in the cushions!

Find an army surplus store and get an old 58 pattern doss bag. It will last for ever, the outer and bottom are waterproof and be cheap as chips.

But they don't do doubles...

Whatever you go for, make sure it's a synthetic filler. Down is brilliant - warm, light, packs down to nothing - EXCEPT if it gets wet it's useless.

I've got a Vango bag from Culverhouse which cost me £20 and is fine. At that price there aren't any frills, but it does the job

Thanks guys. Good info.

Courageous; no, not really but I then I never needed to stuff mine into the rock-holes in the hull, did I?
