just a quick reply to say thanks everyone. And can say that I'd recommend Salterns. Not cheap by any stretch (same price for us as Lymington YH?) but the staff couldn't help enough including helping with some friends and their car who met us there and were really friendly. Boat owners there...

Any advice on shelter in Poole would be appreciated- need to be in shelter before it blows up Saturday as am currently in swanage. Are any of the marinas particularly sheltered in a S Westerly and can be recommended? Thanks

Read this with interest as I've just fitted a new plotter with AIS class B transceiver. Does the situation get better say for eg when you're out mid channel and their are less boats say than in the Solent? Starting to feel that perhaps AIS wasn't a great spend. But then others have said...

Happy to give it away. Perhaps whoever takes it could donate £10 to the RNLI or something similar. Looks in good condition to me - has been repainted at some stage but not by me. Will be in Gosport/POG CSSA this Saturday 30th July if anyone wants to collect it.
